Senior Product Manager II - Fusus Trust and Identity
Fusus brings cameras, body-worn video, license plate reader data, investigative systems, and other sensors into a shared operational picture so public-safety agencies and enterprises can understand what is happening and act when every second matters. It is a powerful expression of Axon's mission to Protect Life.
That capability carries enormous responsibility. Fusus becomes more valuable as it connects more people, organizations, sensors, and information, but only if customers can trust who is in the system, give the right people the right access at the right moment, collaborate across organizational boundaries, and remain accountable for how sensitive information is used.
We are hiring a Senior Product Manager II to define the trust and identity foundation for Fusus. You will work from first principles across identity, organizational and tenant models, roles and permissions, administration, access lifecycle, cross-organization collaboration, audit, and oversight. The challenge is not simply to build an identity system. It is to make responsible access feel natural in fast-moving, high-stakes operations while earning the confidence of customers, their communities, and the people whose information they are entrusted to protect.
Fusus is expanding from a strong public-safety customer base into enterprise, retail, healthcare, logistics, international markets, and increasingly complex cross-organization collaboration. You will shape a core product platform that supports these different organizational structures, policies, risk profiles, and regulatory expectations without slowing customers down or weakening accountability.
Success in this role means customers rarely have to think about the trust foundation but can always depend on it: secure and accountable by design, clear to administer, fast in the moments that matter, and adaptable to the many organizations and markets Fusus serves.
Level: Senior Product Manager II (L9)
Reports to: Sr. Director, Fusus Platform
What You'll Work On
You will own the product strategy and roadmap for the trust and identity foundation of Fusus. Your work will include:
- Identity, authentication, federation, and provisioning across Fusus
- Customer-facing models for organizations, tenants, teams, users, groups, and their relationships
- Roles, permissions, policy evaluation, delegation, and access lifecycle management
- Cross-organization sharing and collaboration across agencies, enterprises, and public-private partnerships
- Administrative experiences that make secure and responsible behavior the natural path
- Audit and oversight capabilities that show who accessed or changed sensitive information, what they did, and whether that use aligned with policy
- Platform contracts and shared services that allow product teams to build consistently without duplicating trust logic
- A common foundation that can support public safety, enterprise, healthcare, retail, logistics, and international customers
You will work directly with customers and internal operators to understand high-stakes identity, administration, access, collaboration, and accountability workflows. You will translate those needs into clear product principles, a coherent roadmap, and measurable outcomes.
You will partner deeply with Engineering, Design, Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, Sales, and customer-facing teams. Together, you will balance urgent customer needs with durable platform choices and ensure consequential access and administrative actions produce a reliable, understandable history for customer oversight, investigations, and compliance.
What Success Looks Like
- Customers can onboard, administer, and evolve their organizations with clarity and confidence
- Sensitive information is available to the right people, for the right reasons, with appropriate limits and accountability
- Cross-organization collaboration is safe, scalable, and understandable to administrators and end users
- Access changes and administrative actions are reliably auditable
- Shared trust capabilities reduce duplication and improve consistency across Fusus product teams
- Measures of secure adoption, administrative clarity, appropriate access, auditability, policy compliance, incident reduction, and customer confidence improve over time
- 6–10 years of product management experience, with direct ownership of a technical platform or similarly complex product domain
- Experience in identity, authorization, enterprise administration, security platforms, privacy, governance, or adjacent high-stakes systems
- Demonstrated ability to reason about principals, resources, actions, roles or policies, tenant and organizational boundaries, delegation, lifecycle, policy evaluation, and auditability
- Specific examples of making architecture and platform tradeoffs with Engineering and explaining their customer, security, operability, and migration implications
- A first-principles approach to platform design that can support materially different customer structures rather than extending a single inherited access model
- Strong customer judgment in regulated, enterprise, public-safety, healthcare, financial, or similarly sensitive environments
- Evidence that direct customer or user research changed your problem framing, roadmap, or product behavior
- A track record of shipping user-centered outcomes, not only leading governance, enablement, compliance, or program execution
- Demonstrated cross-functional influence and comfort making durable decisions amid ambiguity
- The ability to hold urgency, usability, privacy, security, and accountability in the same product frame
You are energized by difficult platform problems whose technical choices have direct human consequences. You can move fluently between customer workflows and system architecture, make complex trust concepts understandable, and build foundations that help people act quickly without sacrificing responsible use.
