Description

As a Senior Agentic Software Engineer, you are a product-minded, customer-focused, full-stack engineer who ships faster and smarter by leveraging AI coding agents as core development tools. Operating with limited oversight and broad organizational scope, you architect systems, set technical direction, and drive engineering standards across teams — exercising wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches for critical technical initiatives.

You make high-impact architectural and strategic decisions that shape the platform's technical foundation, evaluating complex trade-offs that balance innovation, risk, scalability, and business impact. You lead by example — mentoring engineers across teams, influencing technology investment decisions, and shaping the adoption of agentic development practices company-wide using tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot. You will work in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment that crosses multiple technology domains, business teams, and offices.

FEATURE DEVELOPMENT: Architect, design, and develop features and services for our travel platform as a technical leader on a full-stack product development team Write clean, testable, peer-reviewed, and optimized high-performance code — whether authored manually or collaboratively with AI agents

AI-ASSISTED DEVELOPMENT: Drive the adoption and standardization of agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) across engineering teams, establishing best practices, prompt libraries, and workflows that amplify developer productivity organization-wide Review and validate AI-generated code for correctness, security, performance, and maintainability — setting the quality standard across teams Design the organization's agentic workflow strategy, defining patterns and platforms that automate engineering tasks such as testing, documentation, code review triage, and deployment checks at scale Architect Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations that connect AI agents to internal tools, data sources, and platform services — defining the strategic blueprint for agent capabilities across the development lifecycle

ARCHITECTURE & MODERNIZATION: Revitalize services and architectures that have outlasted their original implementations through refactoring, migration, and cloud-native distributed architectural design Lead improvements to development and operations of an increasingly distributed architecture across cloud platforms Unleash the velocity of our engineers and systems with processes and implementations that allow us to ship quicker, learn sooner, and isolate impacts

QUALITY & SECURITY: Advocate for change in quality, durability, and technical debt reduction by working with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Product Designers and other key partners Safeguard the privacy, security, and trust of our members' sensitive data throughout our implementations, in partnership with our Risk and Security teams Establish and help us meet backend and system SLOs to protect us through future growth

MENTORSHIP & LEADERSHIP: Mentor and guide engineers across teams on effective use of AI-assisted development, prompt engineering techniques, and agentic workflow design. Significant experience leading technical designs, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering maturity at an organizational level Excellent communication skills and a high degree of team collaboration Ability to evaluate, integrate, and champion emerging AI development tools and stay current with the rapidly evolving agentic coding landscape
