    What You'll Be Doing

Scenario: You've just joined a sustainable-infrastructure SaaS company as their first Technical Implementation Lead.

Your first enterprise customer is a mid-size asset manager. They're excited, but things are messy:

    • They've sent:
      • A large Excel workbook with portfolio and project data
      • A NetSuite export with GL codes and transactions
      • A Salesforce report with account hierarchies and contacts
    • Field names don't match between systems, some GL codes are duplicated or unclear, and there's no single "source of truth."
    • The customer's sponsor wants to go live in 6 weeks so their team can start using the platform for reporting.
    • Internally, Sales has promised "a smooth onboarding," but Product and Engineering have limited bandwidth. There are no existing playbooks --- you're starting from scratch.

Record a video walking us through how you would approach this implementation challenge. You may also include optional notes or diagrams to support your presentation.

Part 1: Personal Scenario (≈2 minutes)

Part 2: Challenge Scenario (≈8 minutes)

    Walk us through:

How you'd get your arms around the data (first few days)

    • What would you look at first?
    • How would you approach mapping and normalizing the Excel, NetSuite, and Salesforce data into a coherent model?

How you'd design the onboarding plan (for the 6-week window)

    • What concrete milestones or phases would you define from kickoff to go-live?
    • How would you balance "perfect" data vs. "good enough to launch" time-to-value?

How you'd work cross-functionally and with the customer

    • How would you communicate risks, tradeoffs, and decisions to the customer sponsor and internal teams (Customer Success, Product, Engineering)?

What would you do to make this implementation repeatable for future enterprise customers (playbooks, templates, checklists, standards)?

You don't need to cover every detail --- focus on how you think, structure, and communicate as the person owning implementation end-to-end.
