The AI Career Sprint · Builder Track
You can write code. That used to be the whole job.
Eight weeks of work that behaves like a job, not a course. Scored against the rubric a hiring manager actually wrote, then put in front of them.

What changed
The work moved up a level. Your resume didn’t.
A model writes the first draft now. The market quietly stopped paying for the thing you spent years getting good at, and started paying for something it can’t describe well enough to screen for.
+56%
Wage premium for workers with AI skills, up from 25% the year before.
PwC AI Jobs Barometer
+7.5%
Growth in AI-skill job postings, while postings overall fell 11.3%.
Lightcast
$350K
Top of the band for forward deployed engineers. Almost nobody screens for it well.
Provn AI Economy Talent Map
Every resume in the stack says the same thing now, because every resume was written with the same tool. You aren’t being rejected. You’re being flattened.
So we’re not going to teach you to write a better one.
The one idea
Build the machine, then prove it works.
An amateur uses AI to finish a task. An engineer builds the thing that does the task, then proves it’s right.
Every week you produce two things: the work, and the system that made the work. Anyone can get one good output. Very few people can build something that holds up when they’re asleep and then show you the evidence that it does.
That difference is obvious ninety seconds into a walkthrough. It’s invisible on paper. That asymmetry is the whole opportunity.
The curriculum
Eight weeks. One scenario each.
One live 90-minute session per week. Messy inputs, a stakeholder with opinions, and a requirement that changes on day three — because that’s what Thursday looks like.
Week 0
Baseline
Where do you stand before anyone coaches you?
You own
A number. You start with a measurement instead of a feeling.
Week 1
The honest audit
What are you still getting paid for, and for how much longer?
You own
A gap map on your own skills, and a target list built on evidence instead of hope.
Week 2
Speed
Can you do two weeks of work in an afternoon without quality collapsing?
You own
A before-and-after benchmark on your own work, with the tradeoffs written down.
Week 3
Stop prompting, start building
Does your work still happen when you’re not there?
You own
A working agentic system with documentation. Portfolio piece one.
Week 4
Real data breaks it
What do you do when it works in the demo and fails in production?
You own
An evaluation harness, a failure analysis, and a build that survives contact.
Week 5
Three at once
Can you hold three workstreams, or only one?
You own
Demonstrated throughput, and a shorter list of things you still do by hand.
Week 6
The customer
Can you ship something useful from an ask nobody bothered to define?
You own
A shipped prototype, a scoping decision you can defend, and a disclosure habit hiring managers notice.
Week 7
Say it out loud
Can you explain why you made every call you made?
You own
The video walkthrough. Reviewed one-to-one, then recorded again.
Week 8
Draft Day
What does an employer actually see when they look at your work?
You own
Your score, your portfolio, and a Draft Board decision with a specific reason attached either way.
What you walk out with
Evidence, not a certificate.
Two scored portfolio builds
Working agentic systems, evaluated against live employer rubrics with dimension-level feedback. Not a project folder.
A verification record
For every build: what you checked, how, and what you found wrong. The rarest artifact in any engineering portfolio.
Your video walkthrough
Recorded, reviewed one-to-one with a coach, then recorded again. The asset that can’t be faked and the one hiring managers actually watch.
A measured score delta
Scored in week 0 and again in week 8 on the same instrument. The difference is your proof, in a number.
Systems you keep
Everything you build is yours. Most people take at least one straight into their current job.
Draft Board placement
Clear a final score of 80 and your portfolio goes in front of employers hiring on Provn.
One thing we won’t promise: a job. Anyone selling you eight weeks with a job at the end is lying to you.
Cost
$1,950 for the founding cohort.
Standard price is $2,950 from January. Here’s what the rest of the market charges, and what it measures.
| Program | Price | Weeks | Scored against | Employers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Maven — AI Evals | $4,200 | 4 | Nothing. Homework optional. | None |
| MIT — Applied Agentic AI | $3,200 | 8 | An internal threshold | None |
| MIT — No-Code & Agentic AI | $2,850 | 14 | An internal threshold | None |
| Springboard — AI/ML | ~$12,000 | 26 | An internal threshold | Career services |
| Provn — AI Career Sprint | $1,950 | 8 | A hiring manager’s rubric | The Draft Board |
A certificate says you attended. A score says what you can do.
Most people expense this. Ask for the reimbursement kit in your application and we’ll send the email template, the receipt, and the completion letter your finance team will want.
Apply if
- You ship code today, or you shipped it recently.
- You’re three to fifteen years in, and you can feel the ground moving.
- You use AI tools daily and suspect you’re using twenty percent of them.
- You’d rather be measured than described.
Don’t apply if
- You’re looking for an introduction to programming or to AI.
- You want a credential for LinkedIn. We don’t issue one, on purpose.
- You can’t commit eight to twelve hours a week. Scenarios don’t compress.
- You want someone to run your job search for you.
